Bertha's parents were given as Gottlieb Zarbuck and Auguste Jahnke. Bertha was born in Packwaukee. Witnesses to the marriage were Gustav Zarbuck and Gustav Steifner. Her obituary says she died June 18 1964 at Divine Savior Hospital in Portage. The funeral was held in Packwaukee, WI, and she was buried in the Montello Cemetery. [SOURCE: Obituary transcription by Debi Slager posted at rootsweb.com] Bertha Paulina Klawitter's death certificate says she died in Portage, Columbia County, Wisconsin in the Divine Savior Hospital after a one week stay. Her residence was listed as Packwaukee. The certificate she died Dec. 11, 1882 at the age of 81. Cause of death was given as cerebral-vascular accident due to arteriosclerosis and hypertension. The informant was Leona Ingraham, her daughter. |
