Here's a transcription of this obituary: Mrs. Henrietta Hall, who died Dec. 12, 1893, was born in Lunenberg, Worcester Co., Mass., April 10, 1816. She was the daughter of Maj. Jones. She was married to Rev. Joseph Ellis in 1836, who died in 1842. In 1847 she married Abraham Pierce and came to Wisconsin with him the same year. After his death, which occurred in 1853, she returned to Massachusetts. In 1857 she was married to Benjamin Hall, in Rochester, N.Y., and in 1858 they came to Wisconsin and settled in the town of Shield, Marquette Co., at which is now the village of Germania. In 1879 she was again left a widow. Two children survive her: Mrs. A. M. Hartwell and Clarence E. Pierce, both residing in Germania. Mrs. Hall was an earnest Christian woman, noted for her keen sense of right and justice. She was loved and respected by all who knew her. Copy of obituary courtesy of Tim Pletkovich |
