Here's a transcription of this obituary:

Mrs. Angelina Maria Hartwell was born at Lunensberg, Mass., Sept. 18, 1837, and died at Germania, Wis., Dec. 5, 1901, where she had resided since 18__ [may be 1864]. After the death of her father, Rev. Joseph Ellis of Lunensberg, Mass., she moved to Wisconsin with her mother, the late Harriet Hall [should read Henrietta] of Germania. She attended school at Kenosha, after which she taught a few terms of district school and was married at about the age of seventeen years to James M. Phillips, formerly of Binghamton, N.Y., who died as a private in the regular Wisconsin infantry of volunteers, company A, 16th regiment. [NOTE: James did not die in the war; he moved to Missouri where he started a new family with a new wife]. She was again married to Samuel N. Hartwell, March 11, 1868, with whom she lived till death.

She leaves four sons, George E. Phillips and Edward Phillips, issue of the first marriage, and Eugene J. Hartwell and Albert E. Hartwell of the second marriage; also a brother, C.E. Peirce, and her husband, Samuel N. Hartwell, all of Germania, besides other relatives and hosts of friends who mourn the loss of so good a mother, sister, wife and friend. Rev. John Griffith of Hancock officiated as pastor at the ceremony of interment and the Westfield choir furnished appropriate music.
