| The above says that Julius Eduard Klawitter (farmer, age 45, light complexion, 5'8" tall, 150 lbs., dark hair, blue eyes) was born in Posen, Germany on Jan. 25, 1868. He was a resident of Harris, Wis. [Marquettte County]. He came from Hamburg, Germany on the vessel Oder, arriving in New York June 30, 1882. It says he would renounce any allegiance to William II of Germany and that he was not an anarchist and did not believe in polygamy. |
