A Marquette Co., WI, marriage record (Vol. 3, p. 93) says that August Karl Kick married Bertha Kruger on Mar. 4, 1897 in Mecan, Marquette Co., WI. His parents were listed as August Kick and Bertha Rack (or Raek - handwriting in record hard to read). [An umlat was over the "u" in Kruger in this record.] His wife's parents were Karl Kruger and Henriette Mietz (or Meietz - again this was hard to read). Bertha Kruger was born in the town of Marquette, Green Lake, WI. August's residence was Mecan. The wedding ceremony was performed in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mecan by Rev. W.C. Rowold. Witnesses were Wilhelm Bornick and Wilhelm Bliefnick. |
