His tombstone in the Old Dunstable [Massachusetts] cemetery says: "Here lies ye body of Ensign Joseph Farwell, dec'd December ye 31, 1722, in ye 82nd year of his age." His will went into probate Jan. 16, 1722. [SOURCE: Research by Lloyd Dalton]
